POSITION INFO:
Purpose
The Procurement Manager will be a middle management level position and their focus will be to ensure that the company and its staff adhere to the purchasing strategy, which will help to maintain consistency as well as keeping costs within a budget. This incumbent will also be responsible for the procurement team who will provide a service to various different branches in an efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications
BCom Degree in Supply Chain Management
Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Accreditation (Advantageous)
Minimum Experience
Must hold a similar position in the Procurement department within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory/ management experience of 3-5 years.

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Manage, coach and develop procurement team’s productivity and performance in order to achieve company objectives.
Develop and monitor a pricing analysis as and when required
Provide feedback on cost saving initiatives in area of control.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure compliance.
Manage the Company’s risk exposure through identification, implementation and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise liability.
Devise fruitful sourcing strategies and maintain good relationships with suppliers in order to secure favourable prices and terms.
Build and maintain profiles of supply market and key suppliers (current and potential) and provide information to business management on market trends, commodity cost drivers and cost control strategies.
Control procurement spend and ensure a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs
Work in conjunction with the business to develop and meet annual procurement targets, financial targets and value delivery.
Conduct a benchmark and evaluation on suppliers regularly
Ensure that there is an effective contract procurement filing system and file documentation to aid in future reference
Carry out market analysis to keep up to breast with industry prices
Collaborate with key personal to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Minimize stock holding value and ensure that the procurement department buys according to operational requirements
Expedite overdue orders
Assist with tenders as and when required
Submit monthly reports to the Head of Finance
Forecasting for future business activity

Code B; Motor vehicle license
System Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
