JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a Procurement manager to join their team. Based at the Head Office in Pietermaritzburg and involved in strategic management of their procurement department. The role will effect cost management strategies, procurement policies and lead supplier contract negotiations. One of the key deliverables will comprise increasing revenue from Product Sales.

Qualifications and Experience required:

Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Commercial
At least 5 - 8 years local, regional and international procurement and logistics experience and 3 years of contract management experience
Purchasing and technical experience in a related environment
Contract management expertise, supply risk management, business acumen, supplier acquisition and procurement processes
Familiarity with procurement software, approval workflows, purchasing policy, purchasing policy and contract development
Must have good interpersonal skills, as its necessary to work effectively with people at all levels across and outside the organisation
Able to handle high volumes of work in a fast paced environment
Highly organised and detail orientated
Good analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
