JOB SUMMARY:
Our client requires an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company’s supply of products and services. The Procurement Manager’s duties include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Devise and use strategic sourcing strategies
Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business
Negotiate with external vendors
Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
Expect unforeseen events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

Requirements and skills

Proven working experience as a Procurement / Purchasing Manager in the Food & Beverage sector
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as good market knowledge
Excellent negotiations and networking skills
Analytically inclined and ability to make sound decisions
Experience in collecting and analysing data
Strong leadership capabilities
Relevant degree / diploma in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
