Procurement Manager: Indirect Spend

SUMMARY:
A Multi-national Manufacturing organization based in the North Johannesburg has a position for a Procurement Manager to manage Indirect Spend.

Mandatory Requirements:

My client is looking for a Procurement Manager who has managed Indirect Spend. The person must come from Manufacturing/ Engineering/ FMCG/ Retail and the person must have worked at multinational organization. My client is also looking for someone with a stable track record. SAP and SAP Ariba is not negotiable. One of the biggest bonuses for this role, would be if the candidate has championed the full BEE compliance process. This person must have dealt with procurement from a multinational perspective. Main areas of procurement would include Cleaning, Travelling and Marketing etc. This role reports into the Financial Director and Procurement Lead (EMEA).

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree, Procurement or Supply Chain
• Multinational experience
• 8 years’ experience in Procurement and managing purchasing activities in mixed categories
• Leadership skills
• Negotiation skills
• Tender-process knowledge
• Contract experience
• Sourcing skills
• Supply Chain knowledge and experience
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and senior management
• Experience with / and usage of SAP and SAP Ariba
• Proven track record of implementing and executing process and way of working optimizations
• Analytical & strong presentation skills, including Excel and Power point
• Strategic thinking
• Ability to work under tight deadlines & to switch from one project to another.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills
• Project management skills to manage simultaneous sourcing projects in an efficient manner.
