Procurement Officer / Buyer (Mining)

SUMMARY:
Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the mining industry is looking for experienced Procurement Officer / Buyer for permanent position in Rustenburg, NWP.

POSITION INFO:
Role

To purchase goods and services from suppliers by creating and releasing purchase orders, administrate order acknowledgements/confirmations and follow up and track deliveries. Ensure contract compliance with, and use of global/regional/country/local contracts.

Key Performance Areas

• Ensure supplier stakeholders comply with relevant regulatory requirements
• Collaborate and communicate with suppliers
• Provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
• Ensure supplier stakeholders comply with relevant regulatory requirements
• Provide effective advice to the wider organization on contract/agreement entitlements, obligations, and purchasing methods and quantities
• Identify and support the implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve contract management process
• Study/research best practice processes and benchmark the Company processes at regular intervals
• Assist in mitigating risk in terms of contractual exposure to the Company

Required

• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain
• 5 years procurement experience
• Knowledge of the procurement procedures.
• Must have planning and analytical skills.
• Must have a driver’s license.
