Job Title: Procurement Officer for General Building Division
Location:  Sunderland Ridge in Centurion
Remuneration: Negotiable

Our client, based in Centurion, is dealing with the construction and mining industries. They are looking for a Procurement Officer to join their team in the General Building Division
 
Our procurement Officer will be responsible for the purchase of products and services in the organization.
They have to enquire on various products at low prices after reviewing and analysing all options.
Quality is also an important factor to consider when approving a purchase.
To ensure that all products and services are of high quality and the correct items, regardless of price. Always check the previous purchase price and compare it to the current price.

POSITION INFO:
Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12)
• Preferably Male
• Proven experience managing supply chain operations. (+- 2 - 5 years)
• Knowledge of negotiation terms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills,
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices (Researching, evaluating and liaising with suppliers)
• Advanced calculating skills
• Sage (evolution) knowledge will be an advantage
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
• Strategic thinking
• Great relationship management

• Negotiate pricing
• Send enquiries out and get pricing
• Place orders as needed according to urgency
• Track order details (e.g. Suppliers, Quantities, Prices) into internal databases
• Review quality of purchased products (Inspect materials)
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses
• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
