Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in a procurement and purchasing role.
• A degree in BCom Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in Pastel Partner (Purchase Orders, Stocktake, Etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of sourcing, negotiating, and procurement techniques.
• A firm grasp or background knowledge of component handling and the surface mount assembly (SMA) process.
• You must show fairness towards key suppliers to balance the tension between competitive pricing and value add.
• You must have exceptional talent in sourcing, negotiating, and persuading.
• You must be able to manage a demanding workload in a technically complex environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

• Coordinate and execute the company’s purchasing activities while striking a balance between negotiations for the best price/lead time and treating suppliers fairly.
• Manage an efficient flow of goods via an Excel-based system to ensure optimum inventory levels as per production requirements.
• Develop and maintain long-term, positive relationships with suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders in Pastel for the components of a particular bill of materials (BOM).
• Manage the stocktaking process.
• Devise fruitful sourcing strategies to discover new suppliers, ensuring multiple sources of supply.
• Liaise with key employees to determine procurement needs, along with quality and delivery requirements.
• Find a balance between prioritizing the demands of procuring components for production and for prototyping.
• Monitor component RoHS and REACH compliance, moisture sensitivity levels (MSL), expiry dates, and obsolescence.
• Execute counterfeit parts prevention strategies.
