Procurement Specialist (HVAC) – Muizenberg

Our client in Muizenberg seeks a strong negotiator to manage supplier relationships, create purchase orders, track deliveries and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure cost-effective, timely procurement.  This position suits a highly organised individual who performs well under pressure, works calmly and precisely and brings strong technical knowledge of HVAC procurement.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: 3–5 years of practical procurement experience within HVAC, refrigeration, or a closely related technical environment
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC-R equipment, components, and current industry developments
• Skills: Well-developed negotiation, analytical, and organisational capabilities
• Software: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems
• Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous

• Purchasing & Sourcing: Negotiate, process, and manage daily purchase orders for HVAC equipment and components
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, assess vendor performance, and negotiate cost-effective pricing
• Project Support: Work closely with project managers to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and installation requirements
• Order Tracking: Oversee inventory levels, track deliveries, and proactively resolve shortages, discrepancies, or backorders
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and safety standards
