FMCG PRODUCT DEVELOPER
KZN - HOWICK
Assisting with new product development,
packaging and formulation development from research of ideas and idea generation to launch of the products.
MUST HAVE RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS IN FOOD TECHNOLOGY OR RELATED FIELD AND PROVEN TRACK RECORD.
Requirements
Qualification in one of the following, or similar, is essential:
Food Technology; Food Science, Consumer Science.
Incumbent would need to be passionate about food (i.e. Foodie)
POSITION INFO:
Key Performance Areas Assisting the NPD manager and NPD technologist with the coordination of various NPD projects Assist NPD technologist in developing recipes for new products specific to customer requirements Prepare kitchen samples and support factory trials and first productions Conduct organoleptic reviews and analytical analyses on product trials Manage documentation relating to product development, including tasting sheets, nutritional analysis, customer feedback and analytical results Coordinate external product testing, including nutritional, shelf-life and other required testing Assist with product costings and obtaining supplier information Assist with customer presentations and follow-up on product tasting feedback Liaise with internal departments and suppliers throughout the product development process Experience: Previous experience in Food Technology, Product Development or Research & Development Experience in an FMCG environment will be advantageous Project management experience would be advantageous Strong computer literacy, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED
