Product Manager

Dynamic software company developing B2B SaaS solutions in the telco industry looking for Product Manager (IT background)

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a dynamic software company developing B2B SaaS solutions in the telco industry.  They are positioned in the exciting growth sectors of IoT and enterprise mobility.  They have successfully deployed their software in a number of African markets, partnering with local mobile network operators in South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia, with more to come.

They are currently building up their in-house Product Management capability and they are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help execute their product roadmap.

If a smaller but established and profitable B2B SaaS company with a flexible approach to work is appealing, this might be for you.

The person we are looking for is ideally:

• Someone who understands technology trends within the IoT and Telco sectors
• Someone who understands key SaaS product metrics and is pragmatic around data - what to measure and how to interpret.

• A “planner” as well as a “do-er”
• Has the ability to prioritise, and understands tradeoffs of delivery (features / time / customer feedback) in software.
• An energetic self-starter that can work independently within a remote team.
• Someone who takes responsibility and gets on with it.
• Focused on execution, and believes that delivery trumps perfection

Ideal experience:

• Demonstrated success defining and launching successful SaaS products
• A proven track record in a software / SaaS product management role
• Good understanding of agile software development principles & processes
• An understanding of the Telecoms or IoT sectors (bonus)
• At least 5+ years experience managing a Product Development team
• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent alternative experience
• Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills

Things you’ll love:

You will be working in a distributed company with offices in South Africa, Kenya and the Netherlands. Once you are up to speed you will be working independently without close supervision.
