As a Product Manager, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping product vision, driving development, and ensuring successful product launches. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry stakeholders while influencing product direction in a highly specialised and impactful environment.

Company and Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute product strategy and vision aligned with business objectives and market needs
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, R&D, testing, and development through to market launch
Collaborate with engineering, production, QA, and stakeholders to drive OSS system development
Manage project plans, resources, timelines, and documentation to ensure delivery within budget and scope
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and oversee lab testing and site trials
Engage stakeholders, including customers and partners, to gather insights and ensure alignment
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including positioning and product messaging
Monitor product performance post-launch and drive continuous improvements

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, business, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years in product management (preferably in mining or safety technologies)
- At least 10 years’ experience in the mining industry
- Proven track record in managing complex projects from concept to delivery
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of gas detection instrumentation, environmental monitoring systems, or related safety technologies
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strategic thinking with innovative problem-solving capabilities
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach
- Risk assessment and mitigation expertise
- Ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams
Additional:
- Ability to produce proof of successful project delivery
- High attention to detail in documentation and product development processes
