Product Specialist - Brassicas and Leafy Crops

SUMMARY:
A global Agrochemical company is seeking a dynamic Product Specialist to plan, co-ordinate, manage and evaluate Brassicas and Leaf Crops as well as providing specialized, technical advice to customers in support of the company’s product portfolio.

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a minimum BSc (Hons) Degree in Plant Production/ Plant Science or related field of study
• 2-4 years’ work experience within the Agricultural industry will be required
• Must have a high level of analytical thinking, good planning and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Above-average communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and experience will be required
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally is essential

• Planning, implementing and evaluating trials.
• Applying technical and crop knowledge to support sales and marketing efforts.
• Developing sales strategies.
• Developing and implementing crop variety strategies.
• Maintaining crop and variety knowledge.
• Performing product development training of sales representatives.
• Providing technical support to customers and sales teams.
• Liaising with marketing/sales teams, global and local suppliers and key clients.
