Pick-Nik Marketing (Pty) Ltd manufactures, markets and sells tissue and hygiene products through Retail and Business to Business channels in South Africa and neighboring countries. Its Head Office and operational factories are in Gauteng, Kempton Park.
We are seeking a Production Clerk to support the seamless execution of production operations. Reporting to the Shop Floor Controller, the successful candidate will coordinate the sequencing of production tasks, facilitate smooth material flow, and maintain accurate tracking of work-in-progress (WIP). This role involves close collaboration with departments such as Quality, Purchasing, Stores, and Production to ensure alignment of materials, schedules, and compliance. Additionally, the Production Clerk will reconcile data within systems like SAP and contribute to continuous process improvements. Acting as a vital link between raw material issuing and production floor requirements, this role is key to maintaining efficient production operations.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREA:
- Accurately compile, analyze, and distribute production and management reports using log sheets, MHS, and PLC data.
- Ensure materials are ordered on time and in full to meet production needs.
- Maintain thorough and organized records of all relevant data and documents.
- Conduct regular counts of floor stock (WIP and finished goods) at each production line and collect downtime sheets and PLC logs.
- Verify proper recording and sign-off of PLC sheets, and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to resolve any discrepancies.
- Reconcile actual floor stock against reported figures and update MUV and OEE data using Excel.
- Keep the workspace clean and safe at all times and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment defects.
- Actively participate in monthly Operations safety meetings.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- National Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or a closely related field
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- ERP systems knowledge preferably MFG?PRO.
- Preferably completed administrative studies.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in manufacturing or materials management.
- Strong administrative capabilities and proven experience.
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
