JOB SUMMARY:
Do you have experience as a Foreman where you have managed staff and dealt with dispatch and stock variances within a manufacturing environment?

Our client is looking for a hands-on, an always ‘one step ahead’ individual who can motivate and manage a team of eight staff in production with tight deadlines.

The position involves the accurate counting of stock and overseeing production, managing the loading of trucks and dispatch for branch stock transfers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Matric and relevant qualifications highly advantageous
Own transport and driver’s license
Thorough understanding of production operations.
First Language preferably Afrikaans and must be able to speak English
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills with ability to train staff
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareto complete reports and logs

DUTIES

Train and manage production employees on the assigned shift
Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations to staff
Oversee production operations on shift
Manage employee’s day to day duties
Prepare work schedules to ensure efficient operations with positive results
Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment
Troubleshoots issues that arise and provide solutions
Contact maintenance department of equipment problems
Ensure that employees comply with applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Ensure reports are completed
Performs any other related duties as assigned within the company
Managing dispatch and any stock variances
Manage the loading of trucks and dispatch for inter branch stock transfer and requests

SALARY: R18 – R20k per month, dependent on experience
