Our client in the Agricultural industry is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee citrus and greenhouse production, including pest control, irrigation, planting quality and cultivar trials

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric
Tertiary qualification in Agriculture would be advantageous
3 years of practical technical farming experience within citrus and greenhouse crops would be highly beneficial
Computer Literate
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee pest control and fertilisation programs
Manage and monitor irrigation scheduling
Ensure high planting quality in citrus and greenhouse production
Coordinate cultivar trials and planting programs
Procure and manage fertilisers and pest control products
Supervise and train technical staff
Ensure compliance with audits (Global GAP, Farming for the Future, DAFF and Siza)
Develop and implement standard operating procedures
Maintain production records and technical reports
