POSITION INFO:
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and technically strong Production Manager to oversee the entire production lifecycle. This includes responsibility for workflow management, quality control, team supervision, and ensuring deadlines are met. A Mechanical Engineering background is essential to properly assess manufacturing accuracy, finishes, and structural integrity. The successful candidate must also be able to read and interpret AutoCAD and Inventor drawings, as well as BOQs relevant to the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all production activities and workflow across departments
• Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are achieved
• Review and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and BOQs (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD)
• Oversee all phases of manufacturing for quality, finish, and mechanical fit
• Identify and resolve production defects or non-conformances early in the process
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards
• Liaise closely with design and engineering teams for technical alignment
• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to ensure operational efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
• Report on production metrics and project progress

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent (essential)
• Proven experience in custom manufacturing or stainless steel fabrication
• Solid understanding of stainless steel welding, assembly, and finishing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (Inventor and AutoCAD) and BOQs
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assembly processes, including PLC integration
• Detail-oriented with strong quality assurance capabilities
• Strong team leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
