SUMMARY:
Lead the charge in tank manufacturing! Seeking a Production Manager to drive performance, quality, and innovation.

POSITION INFO:
A well-established manufacturer of modular water storage systems is seeking a Production Manager to lead its manufacturing operations at their KwaZulu-Natal facility.

This role calls for a strong leader with hands-on experience in metal fabrication, tank assembly, and production planning, capable of driving quality, efficiency, and team performance in a fast-paced environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

â Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in a production management role within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
â Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, process flow, and continuous improvement methods
â Strong background in team leadership, workflow management, and production scheduling
â Ability to oversee safety, quality control, and on-time project delivery
â Excellent communication and reporting skills
â Based in KwaZulu-Natal, with full-time on-site availability

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure adherence to production plans
Lead and mentor a team of Supervisors and production staff, promoting accountability and growth
Monitor resource allocation, material flow, and equipment utilisation to ensure maximum efficiency
Implement and manage quality control processes and ensure compliance with company and safety standards
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and logistics to streamline production output
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimisation projects
Maintain accurate production reports, metrics, and performance tracking
