POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing and Production, ideally a technical qualification or equivalent

• Minimum NQF level 6

• Business qualification

Job Requirements:

• 5 – 10 years’ minimum experience in Production or Manufacturing management roles in an industrial/ manufacturing environment, with exposure to all areas of production and manufacturing.

• Plastics industry technical knowledge

• Computer literacy: Ms Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

• Ability to work independently

• Good timekeeping is essential

• Showing insight in systems management principles and systems alignment with company strategy

• Strong people management skills; the ability to identify talent, mobilise individuals and teams towards the achievement of departmental objectives
• Scanning the manufacturing environment and demand to ensure best practice is applied

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Manage and monitor operational production and manufacturing

• Ensuring sound and effective financial management

• Maintain positive customer and supplier relationships.

• Developing operational implementation plans aligned to strategic objectives (Business Planning Management)

• Production Technical support to operation

• Business Improvement initiation and implementation

• Effective and efficient reporting to enable strategic decision-making

• Effective people management

• Implementing production and manufacturing conversions as required

• Ensure sustainable production performance.

• Ensure optimum workflow and production throughput
