Production Manager (Feed Mill - Tanzania)

Leading fmcg company (feed mill) based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily feed mill production to achieve production targets and ensure efficient 24\/7 operations. Supervise the receipt of raw materials and dispatch of finished products, ensuring accurate stock control and FIFO principles. Monitor production processes to maximise efficiency, minimise waste, and maintain product quality. Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, health and safety, and company operating procedures. Prepare production schedules, monitor inventory requirements, and maintain accurate production records and reports. Investigate production, stock, and quality variances and implement corrective actions. Lead, coach, and develop production teams while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure smooth production and minimise downtime. Participate in health and safety initiatives, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance activities. Formal Education Required : Relevant Qualification Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in feed milling or food manufacturing. At least 4 years in a managerial role within a 24\/7 production environment. Proven experience in poultry feed production (mash and pelleting) is highly preferred. Hands-on experience in managing raw material and finished goods logistics is required Previous experience working in an expat environment
