POSITION INFO:
Our client, a well-established player within the electronics manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team in Paarl. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, balancing customer demand with manufacturing capacity, and ensuring material availability to support operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and quality teams to drive efficient production processes and optimize delivery performance. Education: Bachelor's Degree or NQF Level 6 Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field. Job Experience & Skills Required: 5 to 8 years of practical production planning experience within an electronics manufacturing environment. Strong experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar planning platforms. Experience reviewing MRP outputs and managing material requirements planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and implement corrective actions. Financial acumen with experience monitoring costs and supporting budget adherence. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in reporting and planning activities. Knowledge of ISO standards and health and safety compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain master production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity. Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement to resolve shortages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production targets are achieved. Track production performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
