Production Superintendent

SUMMARY:
To maximize plant performance in a safe, legal and cost-effective manner within specification by utilizing available resources.

POSITION INFO:

• Leading a team that is responsible for the total production function in terms of functional responsibilities of the Paper factory (stock preparation, tissue machine, and utilities).

• Aligning, guiding and coordinating the activities of a team to utilize the skills and experience of each team member to achieve targets in terms of production volumes, quality, uptime, safety, costs and staff development.
• Manage and provide guidance to the shift supervisors.
• Responsible for current performance of all processes while at the same time ensuring a safe environment for all the people
• To keep management up to date of all risk, plant, equipment, people, and quality issues.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the efficiency of the Paper machines on a daily basis.
2. Responsible for effectively managing costs within the production budget.
3. Effectively managing of Human Resources
4. Effective management of safety, health, and environment.
5. Mini business manager and control over equipment including Autonomous maintenance
6. Leadership
7. Use systems (DMS, Intranet, Office suits, Checksheets) and adherence to it

This position is responsible and accountable for all operations within the boundary walls of 109 Fitter road. The following must always be ensured:
• Quality standards of product are met
• SHERQ standards are maintained
• Profit Improvement Plans
• Customer/Supplier Relationships
