JOB SUMMARY:
Location: EppingÂ â Western Cape Â
Reporting to: Production Manager

Overall Responsibility: Responsible for supervising the production process (Processing and Packaging). Assist the Production Manager with the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing. The production supervisor will run the hydrolysis plant so must have sound machine knowledge.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Responsibilities:

KPA1: Planning and Organisation

Ensure proper and accurate production planning
Supervision of the production process
Ensure production schedule is met and cost-effective
Make sure products are produced on time and are of good quality
Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
Ensure optimum use of production resources

KPA2: Stakeholder Management & Engagement

Work effectively with other 3rd party suppliers
Work cross-functionally with the team to ensure adherence and achievement of key deliverables
Supervise team to produce results in line with expectations

KPA3: Compliance and Controls

Monitor product standards and implement quality programs
Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed

KPA4: Efficiency Optimisation

Maximise the efficiency of production lines
Problem-solving skills and process development
Ensure continual improvement with the overall quality of product

KPA5: Leadership and Supervision

Lead and supervise the productions teams ensuring optimal performance
Cross-functional alignment
Workforce Optimisation
Performance Management
Consult new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

2+ years' experience of working as a Production Supervisor or other similar position
Bachelorâs Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering
A minimum of 2 years experience in a packaging and process supervisory or assisting role
Profound experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Good practical experience with MS Office
Experience in the FMCG or Biotechnology industry would be advantageous

Skills/Competencies Required:

Good business sense and a professional manner.
Sound knowledge of manufacturing.
Deadline-driven and results orientated.
Solid analytical ability as well as process and interpret data
Good verbal and written skills
Develop good working relationships and trust with various teams
Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver
Able to handle work pressure.
Excellent planning and organisational skills
