Production Supervisor - Speciality Fertilizers and Adjuvants

SUMMARY:
A well-established company specialising in the manufacturing and supplying of various world-class agricultural products to the farming and related industries requires the above to be responsible for running their manufacturing operations to produce Speciality liquid and powder fertilizers, Adjuvants, Insecticides, Fungicides and Suspension concentrates for customers based both nationally and internationally.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having worked in an Engineering or related environment is essential for the role.
• Previous experience having worked in a Factory or Plant Environment is preferred but not essential.
• The company will consider someone who has fixed and worked with dosing pumps and related engineering machinery for this role.
• Must be hands on and be able to work independently.

• Responsible for running their manufacturing operations to produce Speciality liquid and powder fertilizers, Adjuvants, Insecticides, Fungicides and Suspension concentrates for customers based both nationally and internationally.
• Overseeing the paddle mixer decanting plant, compressors, mixers, reverse osmosis systems, bead mills and various equipment in different production plants and will assisting the Factory Manager with the managing of the entire factory.
• Maintaining all the PPE and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Assisting with waste management as well as maintaining all equipment in the factory.
• Assisting the Manager with the management of staff working on different plants to ensure that they follow correct procedures in the SOP.
• Involved in Mixing Liquid fertilizers, Powder fertilizers, Adjuvants, Insecticides, Fungicides and Suspension Concentrates in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) set out by Formulation Chemist.
• Liaising with the Production / Factory Manager and Chemist constantly to ensure the optimum production and quality is being achieved.
• Working closely and liaising with Logistics team and various Managers as well as Suppliers regarding Client orders of products that need to be delivered.
• Ensuring good housekeeping at all times as well as ensuring that all equipment is calibrated regularly within the plants to ensure that the plants are kept at the highest standard always making sure that the plants runs at 100% optimal capacity.
