JOB SUMMARY:
Production & Quality Engineer required to join Manufacturer based in Ballito. The role is required to oversee the quality of the goods produced as well as contributing to and carrying out all quality maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years Quality Assurance experience.
Strong understanding of batch operations would be advantageous.
Risk assessment skills, general problem-solving using data analytics and root cause failure analysis techniques.
Basic understanding of financial management principles.
Basic understanding of core business principles.
Operational audit preparation - Sedex/FSC/Security/Quality/ H&S/ISO.
Be innovative and resourceful
Ability to handle pressure
Be an assertive problem solver with decision making abilities
A team member who is self-motivated.
Have good business acumen and be able to communicate at all levels.

Duties and responsibilities:

The execution of the company quality strategy.
Implementing and maintaining QA process controls, including updating flow charts for all functions.
Identifying quality risks and creating solutions to mitigate those risks.
Implementing continuous improvement and project management initiatives.
Input into planning, leading, organizing and controlling all departments quality processes.
Maintaining and improving waste generation and disposal.
Maintaining and improving she manufacturing performance (safety/health/environment).
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
Complying with legal regulations:
Management of daily and weekly production plans.
Ensure samples are made up to the standard expected.
Create and understand investigation reports.
Create and drive sop’s and conduct staff training.
Lead all company audits in the QA and safety space.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and validated to quality standards.
Train factory staff - participate in interviewing and selecting staff & train new hires on factory policies and
Procedures.
Analyze quality data and devising improvement strategies as necessary.
Create production data reports and present them to the CEO monthly.
