Professional Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client, specialising in the industry of project development and operations is looking to employ an experienced and well-organised permanent Professional Mechanical Engineer that will be based in Lynnwood.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng Degree.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Professionally registered at ECSA is essential.
• Experience in consulting engineering is essential.
• Advantageous: Managerial experience.

Duties:

• Interpret technical drawings and reports.
• Communicate with personnel to implement operating procedures, provide technical information, and resolve system malfunctions.
• Analyze and research customer design specifications.
• Specify direct modifications or system components to ensure conformance with engineering performance and design specifications.
• Design, evaluate, operate, install, research, and maintain mechanical products, systems, processes and equipment to meet requirements, apply knowledge of engineering principles.
• Investigate equipment difficulties and failures to diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations to maintenance team.
• Assist drafters in developing structural design of products via drafting tools or computer assisted drafting / designing equipment and software.
• Provide and report feedback to design engineers on customer needs.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and installation to ensure equipment and machines are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Research tests and analyze operation, design, feasibility and performance of equipment and systems.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate system or machine malfunctions.
• Monitor aspects of production.
• Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering or construction and prepare contract documents.
• Supervise production employees and programs.
• Provide technical customer service and solicit new business.
• Establish and follow maintenance and safety procedures.
