SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Johannesburg South. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical design projects, overseeing engineering processes, and providing technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
Oversee design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components
Conduct technical reviews, calculations, and feasibility studies
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues

Requirements:

BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or eligible for registration (advantageous)
Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
Strong project management and leadership experience
Proficiency in relevant CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Valid driver’s license
