SUMMARY:
Company based in Bryanston is looking for the above ASAP.

POSITION INFO:

  • Matric
  • A Degree or Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems or Business Technology from a recognised institution.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Project Management from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience in a payment solutions environment, managing projects of varying degrees of complexity and scope.
  • Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) and project management methodologies like Prince2, Agile and Scrum.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning

  • Define projects from internal and external business requirements, resulting in comprehensive project and work plans.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, ensuring involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Determine project resource requirements and ensure their availability before project commencement.

Project Execution

  • Based on customer/project requirements, compile Customer/Project Specification Documents (C/PSD) and the necessary Functional Specification Documents (FSD), ensuring relevant 
  • Analyse and manage project risk, and put in place risk mitigation measures, at the same time ensuring communication and updates with project stakeholders.
  • Meeting deadlines is non-negotiable. The Projects Manager must monitor project progress to ensure delivery within committed timelines and budgets.
  • Organise, lead and conduct regular project review meetings with the relevant project stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors, contractors and subcontractors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

Project closure

  • Prepare, present and manage comprehensive project reports documenting that all project requirements were fulfilled, as well as the projects’ history, including what was done, who was involved, and what could be done better in the future.
  • Ensure that all project documentation including, but not limited to, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) has been signed off by the customer.

Customers

  • Ensure customer satisfaction is a key influencer in all actions and decisions undertaken.
  • Ensure customer relationships are continuously nurtured.
  • Ensure familiarity with the Company’s contractual obligations regarding project, product and service delivery and that these obligations are met.

Financial

  • Actively participate in project cost estimation and the development of project budgets to ensure that at a minimum, the Company breaks-even on each project that it undertakes.
  • Manage the project budget to ensure that projects are delivered within set and agreed budgets.

Internal / Projects Planning

  • Ensure project plans, budgets and relevant documentation are submitted to customers after they have been technically and financially vetted as per the Company’s procedures.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Report and escalate to management as required.
  • Prepare other reports as may be requested from time to time.

Staff

  • Recruit, train and develop subordinate staff. 
  • Appraise staff on their performance in line with Company procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
