Programme Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking 2 Programme Managers to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.

As a Programme Manager, you''ll be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality programmes in line with the business objectives. You will be required to work closely with project teams to ensure all aspects of programme delivery are performed efficiently and effectively. You will also manage a portfolio of projects which requires effective coordination across multiple disciplines including people, product management, engineering and operations. In this role, you''ll deliver results by leading the way in implementing change through your experience, knowledge and technical expertise in delivering solutions that support our customers'' needs within deadlines whilst maintaining quality at all times.

Requirements

  • Oracle exposure is essential (not as a skill but experience).
  • Daily program management throughout the program life cycle; Planning the overall program and monitoring progress of program implementation;
  • Managing the program''s budget;
  • Managing  risks and issues and  taking corrective measures where appropriate and necessary;
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies; Managing and utilizing resources across projects; Managing communication with relevant stakeholders; and
  • Aligning the outputs of a program with the applicable program deliverables with the aid of the relevant departmental unit.
  • Managing project scope, activities, resourcing, budgets, and  related
  • documentation;
  • Providing reports at various levels as required by the Client;
  • Reporting and capturing on project implementation via the Clients provincial enterprise project management system;
  • Managing risks, issues, and milestones of projects;
  • Managing business expectations and ensuring overall project delivery;
  • Ensuring quality control of outputs; and
  • Eliciting support and authority of senior management to ensure project delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;
  • Ability to be self-managed, ethical, and honest;
  • Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships;
  • Have a pragmatic approach to business transformation;
  • Strong presentation skills at board level or executive management level;
  • Relevant business development experience and skills; and
  • Experience and capability of leading IT technologies.

Qualifications

  • One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Programme Manager OR
  • One or more industry accredited course credential(s) that is/are relevant to the role of the Programme Manager including, but not limited to, PMBOK/Prince/ Agile certification or similar; AND
  • A minimum of 5 (five) years experience at managerial level in a Programme Manager or equivalent role, including, but not limited to, managerial experience in an Oracle environment.
