POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

BCom / National Diploma / Management Accounting qualification
CIMA qualification or equivalent

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience
Xero Accounting
Proficiency in using MS Office, with advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of pivot tables (formulas, and strong input data, output reporting financial modelling, and interests in macros, VBA, etc)
Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively within a team and ability to liaise confidently with all levels within the business

Job description:

Full project accounting function
Load new projects, clients and details
Maintain and update project statuses
Assist Team Leaders in preparing project plans
Maintaining and monitoring project plans to drive project profitability
Monitoring actual vs projected cost rates
Uploading disbursement expenditure on a monthly basis
Ensuring timesheets are submitted and approved by Team Leaders timeously
Developing financial reporting in order to streamline financial systems and processes
Preparing for the monthly Projects Financial meeting and leading the reporting to the management team during the meeting
The preparation of invoices
Assisting the Head of Finance and Financial Manager with financial tasks and reporting where required
Assisting the Office Manager with facilities management and maintenance of the Cape Town premises
Ensuring adherence to company’s procurement policy regarding sourcing of service providers regarding repairs and maintenance
Assisting with the monitoring of all aspects of procurement to ensure adherence to the company’s procurement processes.
Sourcing new suppliers and service providers that adhere to the company’s procurement processes
