SUMMARY:
Start imm! Project-based concern based in Pretoria CBD, has an opening for a Project Accountant for a limited duration contract. Successful incumbent will have a completed B.Com (Accounting) degree, completed Articles and Accpac experience.

POSITION INFO:

Knowledge of GRAP, VAT legislation, Income Tax Legislation, the PFMA and IFRS. The role includes: the analysis and overseeing of revenue recognition on projects within the organisation (300 projects per year); perform all system activities in Accpac (essential) that relate to daily, monthly and year-end activities; ability to check journals on arrival from units, prepare journals for corrections, and checking the capturing for correctness before posting; ability to check budgets, budget corrections, capture budget corrections, approving budgets and preparing budgets; assist with the preparation of financial reports to funders in line with funders requirements and report templates; assist in the preparation of year-end audits, project audits and internal audits; the ability to assist in any other assigned related activities. Accpac experience essential.
