Project Administrator (2 Years Contract) Mycology

POSITION INFO:

Main purpose of the job:

• The incumbent will coordinate and support projects within the Mycology Division and contribute towards their effective implementation
• These projects include: the EFFECT multi-centre trial, the Global Health Research Group on HIV-associated Fungal Infections (IMPRINT), and Fungal Surv

Location:

• NICD – Sandringham

Key performance areas:

• Maintain SharePoint and eTMF system
• Prepare and maintain project documents and trial Essential Documents
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and logs
• Compile study documents for submission to Regulatory bodies
• Gather all leave forms and timesheets, check the correctness thereof, and forward them timeously to the HR Administrator
• Liaise with stakeholders
• Track and keep records of trial documents and assist with staff travel bookings
• Assist with preparing study-related presentations
• Arrange meetings and take minutes
• Communicate with Sponsor and sites
• Draft and edit newsletters
• Basic financial administration- processing invoices, obtaining quotes, and reconciling expenses
• Project future spending and estimate budget remaining balances

Required minimum education and training:

• Grade 12
• Basic Financial knowledge (Bookkeeping)
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) would be an advantage

Required minimum work experience:

• 2-5 years of work experience

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

• Experience working on clinical trials/working in an Academic Research Unit or working experience with an NGO in the health field
• Bachelor’s degree in medical science or similar
• Strong administration experience
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Good written and spoken communication skills
