POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading engineering company within the defence and mobility sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex engineering projects throughout the product lifecycle. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional project management capabilities and enjoys working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the complete management of projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: Project Management Develop Project Charters and Project Management Plans. Monitor project execution and report project progress. Manage project closure activities and lessons learned. Ensure compliance with Systems Engineering processes. Scope & Technical Management Translate customer requirements into project deliverables. Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Coordinate technical scope across engineering teams. Align contractual obligations with customer expectations. Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Coordinate project resources. Manage project review cycles. Ensure milestones and delivery dates are achieved. Financial Management Compile and manage project budgets. Monitor expenditure and profitability. Track budget versus actual costs. Manage project cash flow and financial reporting. Quality Management Develop and implement Project Quality Plans. Coordinate with the Quality Department. Monitor quality assurance activities. Risk Management Identify project risks. Develop mitigation plans. Monitor and report project risk status. Share lessons learned across projects. Procurement & Stakeholder Management Coordinate procurement activities. Manage supplier and customer relationships. Act as the primary client interface throughout the project lifecycle. Communication & Reporting Develop Project Communication Plans. Coordinate internal and external communications. Provide weekly project reports to the Programmes Manager. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. General Responsibilities Support tender preparation and project costing. Work closely with Systems Engineering teams. Assist in improving project management processes. Collaborate across all business departments to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , or a related Engineering discipline. Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or General Management will be advantageous. Experience 4-6 years' Project Management experience. Minimum 2 years' Mechanical or Industrial Engineering experience. Experience within land vehicle projects will be advantageous. Experience across the complete product lifecycle is highly desirable.
