Project Engineer - Epping Industria

My client a leading and well-known company based in Epping Industria, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer with experience in the Agricultural / Food manufacturing or Pharmaceutical / Chemical.

Requirements:

• BTech, BEng, or BSC in Mechanical Engineering or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
• Project Management or commercial qualification would be advantageous.
• 5 years experience in project or process engineering, preferably in a pharmaceutical/ chemical or food manufacturing environment or similar industries.
• Knowledge of cGMPs as applied in an FDA-controlled environment, preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan and co-ordinate engineering projects.
• Apply project Life Cycle approaches and methodologies.
• Generate and review project proposals, tenders and technical specifications.
• Ensure sustained adherence to cGMPs, OHSE regulations and FDA requirements during design and implementation of project activities.
• To control project expenditure within capex approvals and ensure project deliveries as per agreed schedules.
• To generate capex costings for budget purposes and generating periodic project budget and progress reports.
• Initiate and implement maintenance and continuous improvement projects.

• Must have ability to work under pressure and deadline requirements.
• Demonstrated managerial, administrative, technical and financial control abilities and competence coupled with good coordinating and planning skills.
• Good organizational skills
• Able to work in a team and independently as and when required
• Ability to priorities and multi task however must be systematic and analytical in reasoning.
• Problem Solving and Leadership abilities
• Must be criminal Clear.
• Willing to relocate to the Western Cape
