Our Client is a global metals company, with market leadership positions in zinc and lead. They has mining, smelting and other operations in Europe, the Americas and Australia and employs more than 4,000 people. For their site in Balen they are looking for a:
Project engineer
mechanical & process
Function:
In this position you will be responsible for the management and coordination of industrial investment projects, in particular the renewal of installations or complete new construction. A selection of your tasks:
• Coordinating, managing and supervising your project fortfolio
• Close cooperation with maintenance, production, external partners such as suppliers and consultants.
• Independent search for information, tips and guidance within engineering and technical service.
• Follow up the realization phase and intervene in time in a critical situation.
• Supervising the implementation of technical and economic feasibility studies of the projects
• Conducting risk analyzes on project proposals
• Drawing up budget calculations, technical specifications, price requests and selecting/following up contractors
• Review and correct designs, drawings and documents
• Decide on technical quality, safety, environment, time and costs
• Coordinating the delivery and transfer of projects
• Monthly reporting of project progress, cost control and major events and deviations
Profile:
• You are in possession of a diploma Industrial / Civil Engineer Electromechanics or equivalent through experience.
• Project management experience is a must.
• Autocad is no stranger to you.
• As an asset you have experience in piping, machine construction and/or process equipment.
• Knowledge of legislation (Vlarem, PED, ...) is a plus.
• You are strong in negotiating and communicating with different stakeholders.
• You take ownership of your project, from start to completion.
