Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, based in Centurion, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Programme Office. The successful candidate will work in a technical engineering environment, supporting projects for both local and international customers.


Job Purpose:
To manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while coordinating teams, stakeholders, risks, and project requirements.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS Minimum education (essential): Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Electronic or Mechanical Engineering Degree would be advantageous) MBA or PMP certification preferred Minimum applicable experience (years): 5-7 years' experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects Required nature of experience: Managing complex projects within the defence, aerospace, RF, microwave, or related engineering industries Delivering technical products and solutions within highly regulated, standards-driven, and quality-controlled environments Project experience delivering hardware products within an electronics-related field, particularly electromagnetics or microwave\/RF engineering Managing customer-facing projects, documentation, reporting, and deliverables Managing multiple projects concurrently Exposure to international customers, particularly European customers, is advantageous Skills and Knowledge (essential): Project planning, coordination, and management Leadership and team management Budget, resource, and risk management Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Quality assurance, standards, compliance, and governance awareness Customer documentation, reporting, deliverable, qualification, and acceptance process management Process management and continuous improvement Project closure, evaluation, and lessons learned management KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND OBJECTIVE S Project Planning & Management Develop project plans, scope, timelines, budgets and resource requirements. Coordinate and manage project activities from initiation to completion. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams. Ensure projects remain on track and within scope and budget. Customer & Stakeholder Management Maintain strong relationships with customers, project teams and senior management. Manage customer requirements, expectations and commitments. Coordinate customer reviews, meetings and project updates. Provide regular project progress and financial updates. Project Governance, Quality & Compliance Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Ensure compliance with customer, contractual and industry requirements. Monitor quality standards throughout project delivery. Coordinate qualification, verification, validation and acceptance activities. Ensure effective project governance and reporting. Risk, Resources & Problem Solving Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues. Optimise personnel, equipment and financial resources. Resolve project challenges and implement corrective actions. Manage changes to project scope and requirements. Support effective decision-making and continuous improvement.
