Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client within the banking sector is looking for a Project Manager with regulatory experience.

POSITION INFO:

Regulatory

The process is that all regulatory requirements impacting AIC are unpacked by the Compliance and Legal teams

The project team will engage these teams and business owners to understand scope of requirements and the impact it will have on the AIC business

Some of the Regulatory projects implemented are:

• Risk-Based Approach (RBA) implemented in 2019
• Retail distribution review (RDR) implemented in 2019 phase one and 2020 phase 2
• POPIA implemented in 2021
• FIC (financial crime) – phase 1 is currently being implemented in 2021, the possibility of phase 2 for 2022

AIC Business Engagements

Internal Channels are:

• HOC
• Activate
• Personal Lines
• Idirect
• Commercial lines
• Extended cover

External channels consist of the below UMA’s and Binder Holders

• Ambledown (Medical gap cover)
• Innovation Group (motor vehicle Warranty products)
• Lipco (Legal cover)
• Brolink (Personal vehicle/household insurance)
• FSP (Personal vehicle/household insurance)
• PSG (Personal vehicle/household insurance)

Operational and support areas within AIC are:

• Underwriting teams
• Claims
• Complaints
• Premium collections
• Pricing
• MI
• Risk
• Legal
• Compliance

Project Management

PM system used is Planex

Governance requirements supporting PDLC

Knowledge of MS projects online

Costs and resources management

Progress reporting to below stakeholders

• Project teams
• Operations teams
• Business stakeholders
• Legal, compliance, and risk
• Corporate Operations 
• Accountable executive
• Managing Executive
• Steerco
• Programme teams within BANK

Weekly and monthly progress updates on Planex

Manco reporting packs

Weekly updates with PMO and head of change
