SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES, ACTIVITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES

• Structuring, planning and sequencing projects changes in line with defined business transition
• Playing a fundamental role in working with the business to shape and challenge the business case to drive through the right approach to transition planning and benefits realisation.
• Managing stakeholder expectations
• Managing various projects and projects uncertainty and understanding the impact of this on the projects, as well as the wider business
• Identifying and facilitating the prioritisation of options.
• Planning the work of the projects and monitoring performance.
• Managing the balance between benefits, risks, budget and delivery elements.
• Troubleshoot areas of conflict between projects
• Initiating management actions in response to progress reports (achievement, productivity and risk)
• Recommend appropriate best practice project management techniques.
• Reporting on status and prognosis.
• Quality checking of all project management documentation to meet governance requirements
• Managing schedule and resource dependencies and conflict between projects
• Liaising with other managers regarding the assignment of resources
• Managing and reporting of financials on the projects

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Appropriate tertiary qualification (NQF5 or above) with five years’ relevant experience in project management
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Relevant project management certifications e.g. Agile, PMBOK
• Experienced in Microsoft Office such as MS Project, Excel, etc
• Experience using and implementing one or more of these frameworks: Agile methodologies, COBIT, ITIL
• Experience in corporate, commercial or business banking (minimum of 5 years)
• Highly organised and methodical
• Good facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Solid work ethic with attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Client centric focus, effectively managing all stakeholders for delivery
