JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a Project Planner. This is a contract position based in Centurion.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 (twelve);
• 5 (five) years relevant experience on multi discipline projects and programs; and
• Experience in Microsoft Project and Primavera knowledge.

Responsibilities

Conduct implementation project planning in line with the internal planning and schedule management procedure;
Ensure the appropriate project schedules are in place;
Assist with the evaluation of consultants and contractors schedules;
Ensure that consultants and contractors detailed schedules are correct and aligned with the main project schedule;
Ensure that progress updates and reports are done and distributed;
Provide the project manager with early warnings on potential time and cost overruns;
Participate in governance processes;
Assess, audit and ensure compliance to project planning requirements by conducting benchmarking and networking exercises;
Compile and manage the project master schedules for all projects;
Compile the basis of schedule;
Evaluate impacts on schedule due to scope changes;
Assist with project close-out; and
Support for effectively resolving contractual disputes or other issues to avoid or limit impact on scope, time, cost and quality.
