Project Team Leader (Software Development)

Our client is seeking a software development Project Team Leader, who will serve as a subject matter expert and manager for a specific team of Software Engineers. In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules and methodologies, as well as, assigning work to direct reports, providing on-going mentoring & monitoring for optimum performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BSc Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
• Expertise in development languages including, but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows and .Net, Angular
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation and ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources.
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language and optimization techniques.
  Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modelling principles.
  Ability to write and communicate detailed development specifications and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments
• Experience leading teams of software engineers: planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Prioritizing, planning and managing projects of various size and complexity.
• Strong problem-solving experience and implementation of successful alternatives.

This role will suit a senior developer - Tech Lead, who is looking to take on a greater managerial role whilst still being directly involved in the coding and development process.
