SUMMARY:

• Managing the ESKOM Coal Theft Project in Mpumalanga, Investigators, Intelligence Handlers, Fieldworkers and Tactical Teams
• Managing and Investigation of crime incidents
• Handling of informers and intelligence
• Management of informer rewards
• Ensure that court procedures are fulfilled
• Liaise with HR department concerning disciplinary enquiries to ensure fulfillment thereof
• Liaise with client/SAPS/court officials
• Handling of AU Exhibit safe – where needed
• Inspection of dockets according to brought forward system
• Security advice to clients
• Threat and Risk Assessment
• Client liaison and professional client relationship
• Manpower management
• Equipment management
• Effectively dealing with and managing clients’ complaints
• Knowledge of Health and Safety management
• Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved
• Ensure that all company/ client SOP’s are followed
• Ensure BPC policies and procedures are followed at all times
• After hour visits and standby duties
• Training of coworkers in the investigation of crime and handling of informers

POSITION INFO:

• Matric + NQF level 6 qualification – Forensic Investigations
• Drivers license
• Computer literacy (MS Excel) and Word
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investigating incidents (criminal as well as departmental)
• SAPS, Defense Force, and with NIA experience will be an advantage
• Firearm competency
