SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity to join a leading diversified global resources company as a Projects Director for their African Zinc Projects.

POSITION INFO:

The Project Director will direct the entire projects pipeline including current and future projects. He/she will spearhead the planning, directing, and coordination of these projects from concept to commissioning. The remit of the role is big and complex.

Responsibilities:

Effective and efficient project evaluation, monitoring, execution and delivery with a sharp focus on project results, milestones, risk management and quality assurance
Stakeholder engagement, business partner and contract management, and selection of the right project partners will be key success indicators
Embracing cutting edge technology, digitalization and innovation, benchmarking with global best practices, advocacy, governance and compliance will be vital to enabling success

Experience:

Engineering background
Solid track record of successfully managing technically complex, large-scale projects through the entire project lifecycle.
Experience in a senior/executive management capacity
Mining/mineral processing experience
Base metal experience

Education:

Engineering degree
Project management qualification
MBA desirable
