SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established property management company based in Claremont, Cape Town, is seeking a Property & Litigation Attorney to join their team. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for property and litigation law, we would love to hear from you!

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities

Draft summons and letters of demand
Manage the full debt collection process
Negotiate settlements
Represent the company in court matters related to debt
Handle eviction proceedings under the PIE Act
Prepare and submit all legal notices and court documentation
Representing the company in court hearings
Prepare documentation for tribunal cases
Represent the company at hearings
Draft settlement agreements if needed
Bond cancellations
Property transfers
Drafting and reviewing contracts, deeds, and related documentation
Liaising with banks, Deeds Office, and stakeholders
Sectional title schemes
Body corporate matters
General property law advice

Requirements

LLB degree
Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
Minimum 2–5 years post-admission experience in property/conveyancing law
Deeds Office procedures and property registration
Contract law, property law, and relevant legislation (SPLUMA, FICA, CPA)
Experience drafting letters of demand and managing compliance matters
