SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Industry, has an opportunity available for a Purchasing Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Qualification in Procurement /Supply Chain or equivalent
4-5 years management experience
Knowledge of Purchasing processes; creating of part numbers, costing, supplier lead times, managing order book and suppliers
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers and people
Experience in collecting and analysing data
Strong leadership capabilities
Must be thorough and show attention to detail
Must have strong customer focus and service delivery orientation

KPAs:

Manage purchasing function (stock, consumables stationery)
Establish supplier service level agreement (local)
Manage Vehicle Purchases, maintenance, Traffic Violations & disposals
Ensure that archives are kept up to date and records are stored for the retention periods as required by law
Manage individual performance
Develop financial projections
Proactively identify customer needs, and opportunities to exceed customer expectations
Maintain the SDM users data base internal & external users
