Purchasing Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Industry, has an opportunity available for a Purchasing Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Qualification in Procurement /Supply Chain or equivalent
• 4-5 years management experience
• Knowledge of Purchasing processes; creating of part numbers, costing, supplier lead times, managing order book and suppliers
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers and people
• Experience in collecting and analysing data
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Must be thorough and show attention to detail
• Must have strong customer focus and service delivery orientation

KPAs:

• Manage purchasing function (stock, consumables stationery)
• Establish supplier service level agreement (local)
• Manage Vehicle Purchases, maintenance, Traffic Violations & disposals
• Ensure that archives are kept up to date and records are stored for the retention periods as required by law
• Manage individual performance
• Develop financial projections
• Proactively identify customer needs, and opportunities to exceed customer expectations
• Maintain the SDM users data base internal & external users
