SUMMARY:

One of the leading chemicals & specialty company based in Durban is currently looking to hire a Purchasing Manager with the following skills & experience:

POSITION INFO:

Purchasing of, and not limited to Chemicals, both Import & local, in line with the companies’ procurement policy.

Required outputs: Functional

Purchasing of Chemicals, local and imported
Supplier Development / Management
Understanding of INCOTERMS
Import Procedure (Documentation for customs clearance)
Cost Benefit tracking
Inventory management of chemicals
Supplier Contract management
Maintain necessary ISO procedures/ documentation, related to the Purchasing
Market research, understand cost drivers.

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

Business Commercial qualification/Supply Chain with experience in Chemical purchasing
Minimum of 3 years chemical Procurement experience.
Chemical qualification in addition to Commercial would be an added advantage
Understand cost drivers and how to leverage this.
Understand the principals of strategic sourcing
