Python Developer with React

SUMMARY:
I am recruiting for an Intermediate to Senior Python Developer with React experience.

POSITION INFO:
Hybrid (3 days in office)
Location: Cape Town: City Bowl
No relocation candidates - You have to reside in Cape Town

⚠️ You must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Degree in IT or a related field
• Reside in Cape Town
• 4+ years professional experience building production back-end systems
• Strong Python experience (FastAPI or similar frameworks)
• Experience with relational databases (the client uses PostgreSQL) and ORMs like SQLAlchemy
• Comfortable with async programming, API design, and working with third-party APIs

Nice To Have:

• Payments or fintech experience (e.g., payouts, reconciliation, and card acquiring)
• PCI compliance understanding (or at least interest in secure systems)
• Experience working in startups or small teams
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Pulumi, Docker, AWS
