QA/QC Technologist (Fashion)

SUMMARY:
A leading Durban-based fashion supplier is seeking a Qualified QA/QC Technologist to join their in-house team.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with strong technical knowledge of garment or footwear construction and experience working with international suppliers.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and liaise with overseas suppliers and factories (China) regarding quality, fits, pre-production samples (PPS), and technical queries
• Review and interpret technical specifications and advise on fit corrections and product improvements
• Evaluate, approve, and follow up on factory audit and quality reports from China
• Ensure products meet customer quality standards and compliance requirements
• Monitor production quality for imported goods (local experience will also be considered)

• Relevant qualification in Clothing Technology, Footwear Technology, or related field
• Proven QA/QC experience within the fashion industry (footwear experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of garment/footwear construction, fit, and grading
• Experience working with China-based suppliers
• Imports experience advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
