SUMMARY:
An industry leading steel processing business, is looking for a Level 2, Quality Control Inspector. Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in Fabrication?

POSITION INFO:
Conduct incoming, in-process and final quality inspections. Inspect, fabricated components and finished products. Perform dimensional inspections and verify products against drawings and specifications. Conduct visual inspections of welds and fabrication workmanship. Verify material identification, traceability and quality documentation. Identify, record and report non-conforming products and processes. Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately. Review and verify NDT reports and coordinate third-party inspections where required. Work closely with Production, Fabrication, Engineering and Quality teams. Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions. Support compliance with customer requirements, quality procedures and applicable standards. Monitor customer satisfaction levels. Monitor the production phase at various levels. NQF level 4 Qualification (Grade 12) Maths A degree or equivalent. Level 2 NDT certification in one or more relevant methods will be advantageous: Level 2 QC Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in steel fabrication Must have some estimation experience Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings. Knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication quality requirements. Experience with dimensional inspection and measuring equipment. Must be able to pay attention to detail. Real-time experience in the same domain is preferred Excellent documentation and presentation skills Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office Profound knowledge of quality control standards Must have QC experience in the fabrication industry.
