SUMMARY:
A leading engineering solutions provider, within the mineral processing and process plant environment, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with strong technical and commercial acumen to play a critical role in tendering and project acquisition.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 6 years’ experience in estimating within an engineering, EPC, or mineral processing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, process plants, piping, structural steel, and fabrication
Proven experience in compiling detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Strong commercial awareness and risk assessment capability

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and process plant projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and client requirements to determine scope and pricing
Develop detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and pricing schedules
Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain competitive quotations
Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tenders
Support proposal submissions and provide technical clarification during tender adjudication
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure alignment between design and costing
