SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an opportunity available for a Quality Assurance Manager (Internal Audit) which will be based in the Tshwane area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), with a relevant degree;
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Quality Control Audits - essential
Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors;
Staff management experience;
Knowledge of the medical scheme industry would be advantageous;
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in designing, implementing and reviewing internal audit policies and procedures in alignment with IIA standards;
Excellent computer literacy and MS Office skills;
Sound qualitative and quantitative analysis skills;
Excellent communication and writing skills;
Sound planning/ project management skills;
Attention to detail;
Ability to work independently, organise tasks efficiently and perform the audit function accurately.
Able to cope under pressure
Ability to demonstrate highest level of ethical behaviour

KPAs:

Ensure Internal Audit Policies and Procedures are aligned to Internal Audit Methodology, IIA requirements, King IV and the Medical Scheme’s Act;
Monitor and report the performance of the function against the internal audit definition, IIA standards, regulation, policies and procedures through ongoing and periodic reviews;
Develop and maintain a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of the internal audit function, including continuous and periodic internal assessments;
Develop and update training materials for internal audit activities;
Facilitate, deliver and monitor training of auditors (either in-house, co-sourced or out-sourced) on the GEMS internal audit policies and procedures as an induction and on ongoing basis;
Develop working and reporting templates to facilitate adherence to the internal audit policies and procedures;
Administer and report on the outcomes of the post engagement client surveys.
