Quality Control Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Control Officer  to join their project team on a temporary, project-based contract at a mining operation in the Rustenburg area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality standards across various project activities, with particular focus on civil works, steel structures and mechanical installations.

POSITION INFO:
inimum Requirements: Proven experience in a Quality Control \/ Quality Management role within a construction, engineering or mining environment. Practical experience with civil works . Experience in steel structure works . Experience with mechanical installations , including pumps, piping and related equipment . Strong understanding of construction and installation quality requirements. Ability to inspect work, identify quality deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Good understanding of project specifications, drawings, procedures and quality documentation. Strong reporting and record-keeping skills. Previous mine-site experience will be advantageous. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid medical certificate of fitness as required by the Mine. Must be able to successfully complete all mine-required screening, verification and site-access requirements . Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor quality control activities throughout the project. Conduct inspections of civil, structural and mechanical works. Ensure construction and installation activities comply with approved specifications, drawings and quality standards. Identify, document and follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions. Review quality documentation and inspection records. Liaise with project teams, contractors and relevant site personnel regarding quality requirements. Ensure all required quality records and reports are maintained and submitted. Support the project team in maintaining compliance with client and mine quality requirements. Important: This is a temporary, project-based position and will be based on a mine in the Rustenburg area.
